Are you freaking kidding me?! I am literally in shock. Well thank God no one is in danger of falling limbs or maybe some errant bird poop that might land on them on their morning walk. I'm sure everyone who lives there is breathing a sigh of relief that they are safer now. Maybe next we should consider removing the sun since it's known to cause sunburns and cancer.
Yep, it's pretty ugly. They are planning on redeveloping the street. Although they are replacing the trees with more figs, they won't be as established and it will take decades for it to get back to the way it was. And then maybe they will have the same debate in 100 years. Although I hope by then our society has moved on from the desire of the concrete jungle.
